Tribute to Benny Goodman and Peggy Lee

Directed by Everett Longstreth, this 14 piece band plays the music of the late “King of Swing” Benny Goodman as Amanda Carr performs a dynamic vocal tribute to the remarkable PEGGY LEE.
Boston area singer Amanda Carr provided the vocals for the show, her set of Lee’s songs in the second half of the show were a heartfelt, and fun, tribute to one of 20th Century’s greatest vocalists.
Carr’s version of the Lee classic "Fever" and "I’m A Woman" were spot-on perfect, and her dialog about the life and career of Miss Peggy was informative and entertaining as well. Hearing "Fever" performed live by Carr and the band was worth the price of admission by itself. |
